Zion National Park Half Marathon

Wow, that was a challenge. The temperature was 10°F to start. Coldest I’ve ever run a race. We had headwinds the majority of the course. At least we did eventually have some sun and it helped a bit. They do get points for having the warning tent at the start area. I knew that the race had sold out, but I heard that about 800 out of 3,000 registrants did not show.
As a sidenote: it would’ve been nice to have gotten more rest, but this couple in the room above me were having sex and her loud moans and whines prevented me from going into sleep mode. She would start every ten minutes during the midnight hour. Good grief!
